Announcement: Bigfoot Ballyhoo has been under attack, in the past, by a couple of people who wished Ballyhoo and its editors to look as if they were hoaxing information.

One of the biggest examples would be the claim that we made up the ESP Team, Bill Emery, Cole Saxton and the late Hank Parchell. A well-known bigfoot researcher found photos that looked like Emery, Saxton and Parchell. He claimed the three to be the real men and not any part of the ESP Team. (In fact, he claimed there was no ESP Team).

And then while the Emery Team was processing trail cam photos a couple were sent to Ballyhoo. These photos turned out to be well-known bigfoot photos, one from a movie and one of Patty. The technician’s son that was processing the trail cam photos replaced the real photos with fakes. In good faith Emery sent the dallied-with photos to Ballyhoo. When it was found out what happened it was explained.

Another photo of a footprint with a believable history was given Ballyhoo to post. Turned out to be Tim Fasano’s photo from Florida. Again, we’ve given explanations for each occurrence. We were hoaxed.

We in time recognized each hoax and explained what happened

Steve Harding Voices an Opinion on Bigfoot...

Steve Harding Washington Fish and Game has left a new comment on your post "Believing in Bigfoot":

Very well said Linda. I always enjoy your "Matter of Time" articles. This has been a very sad week for lots of Bigfoot believers. These people who come to this site and spiel this negative stuff upsets all of us. I really don't know if people are just plain mean or if they are uninformed. They come here and sound as if their being put out themselves. I believe I know some of these peoples identity but will not write their names here. Debbie is a stand up lady to take the kind of verbal abuse she gets on line with many readers. These people seen so unsure of anything they must attack all of the evidence out there. Nobody wants to believe our government hides these cases from us but the reality is they have and do on a daily basis. All to often people find something wrong with just one word someone says and thus it all a hoax to them. I love this site/blog and find it very interesting to read. I was glad that Gordon called some people and verified the truth. Not because I didn't believe it, its because he showed people can do their own search for these events. Many of us know what bigfoot ballyhoo has done for the education of Bigfoot for many. Keep it up!

Believing in Bigfoot

The Challenges of Believing in Bigfoot

While I enjoy the many comments from readers of the blog, Bigfoot Ballyhoo, it has been an unsatisfying week. Each day at least one commenter wondered if the 1962 Columbus Day animal could be a hoax. And was there a file at all containing bones and photos? I can only assume these statements came from new readers of the blog and they were not aware that we have comments from eye witnesses of that day the creature was found. And just as depressing were comments that nothing would come of getting the DOI file opened to the public. Debbie of Rand Corp Group was insulted, but thankfully is still on the case. If you have doubts, please use the search tool and read for yourself about the animal found in November 1962, face down under a fallen tree. Many photos were taken. However, the forest service asked that all of them be turned in to that agency. Some were not turned over. The file is closed to the public and the photos taken that day are also considered classified. We have many views on whether the photos of the animal in private hands can or cannot be lawfully displayed and viewed. We here at Bigfoot Ballyhoo do not wish to challenge the government. Debbie recommended we be patient and wait for the file to be opened. When and if that happens we can go to the gov website and view the photos and read the file for ourselves.

In the meantime, someone could present a body to science for examination. Perhaps a bigfoot will be struck by a vehicle and immediately found. The possibility is not remote; indeed, we’ve read of just such accounts. We encourage people to talk about bigfoot. The more the public talks about the animal, the more sightings will be reported. With so many trail cams and phone cameras, we should be getting photos of the animal. And one day there will be a good clear photo. But then, we have the Patterson film and still no closure, still bigfoot’s existence is questioned. Many believe proof will come only with a body. To “find” a body, one needs to be looking for it. To be watching for the animal, one must believe the animal exists. So keep talking bigfoot, and be proud of your sighting! And remember, we believers are sure it is just “a matter of time” before everyone will know this amazing being exists.

My dad worked for USFS in 1966 in Oregon before we moved to Ohio. He told all of us kids about the hairy monster thing in Oregon of 62in 65. If this is a hoax it was made up many many years ago. The chances of that are not possible being dad didn't even know what a Bigfoot was and was not one to tell stories.
